Just around the corner from the Plaza Borda, you can find the nicest traveller hangout in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico - Cafe Sasha. Owned by Chicagoan expat Sasha and her partner, it's a great place for a bite to eat, finding other travellers or a drink.
Or make that plenty of drinks, because you won't want to leave until closing time.
A natural hub for the expats, travellers and well-travelled people in Taxco, Sasha's can provide you with great food from an international menu, lots of drinks (the Mezcal is to be recommended, and advised against as you'll figure out later) and friendly conversation. The burritos are the size of felled redwoods, drinks are good value and all is served with a laidback smile by Sasha and staff.
Good value for money, run by a woman with her heart in the right place, and one of those rare places that feel like home right away.
