Jacks wedding vows

Lauri, my love, when you entered my life a sun ray began to light the path ahead. The world filled with brighter colours. My heart opened.

Together with you, I am stronger, more able, more loving than I ever thought possible. Together, I can be the rock you need to weather the storms that we will meet ahead. Together, I will let you be the inspiration in my heart that keeps me rooted to where I need to be, for us.

Right now, on this day, my life is complete and perfect. In this moment, I am blissful.

I know in my heart that not all days will be this easy, this joyous. Some times ahead will be difficult, just as many days will be like today. So on this day, when I ask you to be in my life as my wife and my equal partner, I promise you this:

• I will honour you always and speak with you with the respect you deserve
• You will have my support in all your endeavours
• I will be your shelter and your shoulder to lean on when you need it
• My every effort will be to be worthy of your love
• We will always have fun riding escalators
• And I will love you through everything the world throws at us

I have, like you, crossed oceans to make this love happen. From today, we are partners, confidants and lovers. Even more, we are friends. I trust you to take care of me as I do you. Together, we will build a wonderful life filled with wonder and creativity and love.
