Jeep, the car company, has hit the grand old age of 70 this year, and is celebrating by launching an online community for Jeep owners, and also a new digital identity at jeep-people.com. Jeep will sponsor a range of adventures, from what it looks like mostly extreme adventure sports, but that ties in with the interests of any avid traveler too!

I really like Jeep vehicles, and have had a fair few outback adventures helped along by these offroad champs. After all, they can still all scale the Rubicon Trail, even as the sophistication of some models has improved a fair bit since the original Wrangler came out. Not that I understand why you'd need leather seats in a car that is going to have mud splattered all over it all the time, but that's just me. They do drive better on the road now though.

Next time I'm in California, we're planning on going up into the Tahoe National Forest for some camping, and yes, we're going to borrow a Jeep to do it.

Alex Bellini

The first sponsored adventure for Jeep is to support extreme runner Alex Bellini in running across America. In just 70 stages, which means 70 kilometers of running each day, every day! That's two and a half marathons per day, a huge achievement if he manages it. Today he's made it to the 34th stage, and is running across Oklahoma, through a hot and dusty prairie landscape.

Jeep is also looking for online Ambassadors who'll help spread the word about Jeep's new digital community. By writing about your experiences with Jeep, and entering your link onto the Jeep People site, you will get a chance to take part in some excellent adventures paid for by Jeep. Next up is the Goodwood Revival, a classic car race in Sussex, England. Goodwood is quite famous, and hard to get tickets for as it's so popular.

If you like Jeep, it's well worth writing about it and becoming one of the Jeep People, and maybe win an excellent adventure too.

This is a Sponsored Post by Jeep. As with all sponsored posts, I personally stand behind the product or message.
