Pride London 2009
This weekend is London's Pride 2009, adding to the LGBT festivities in London which now include 3 events: Pride London, Soho Pride, and Brighton Pride. OK, Brighton isn't technically in London, but it still counts.
This year, the Pride parade kicks off at 1pm Saturday 4 July at Baker Street, meanders down Oxford Street, and finishes in Trafalgar Square. Here there will be entertainers and speakers from 3pm under the theme 'Come Out And Play'. Soho will of course be alive with all the gay venues having their own entertainment programs for the weekend and there'll be special parties all over London.
For an alternative gay event, there's Gay Shame which this year takes place in the O2 arena. This is a bit less commercial event, and the whole thing is going Girly this year.
Whatever your orientation, if you're in London this weekend, there's a party on.
