Egypt offers a great range of activities and sights for an active family vacation

One of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Egypt, the Sphinx at Giza is the world's largest statue carved from a single piece of rock.

Without the Nile River, Egypt would have never blossomed and the world would no doubt be a very different place today.

This large pre-Columbian archaeological site that needs to be on your "bucket list" when touring Mexico. The name of the site is Chichen Itza, which was built by the Maya civilization in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

After traveling a lot all over Guatemala I made a list of three tours that you can't miss if you visit this country (based on my personal experience). They are great for families, groups of friends looking for something different to do and adventurous couples. Enjoy!

The Mayan ruins of Coba of Quintana Roo province is located about 2 hours from Playa del Carmen. The stone site was constructed over 2,000 years ago, and became a dominant Mayan city-state until its decline in 1,000 AD and the Spanish conquest of 1550. Recently excavated, this Mayan site is hidden inside a dense emerald green jungle.

The Egyptian temples are fascinating places to visit. One thing you will probably not have realized before your visit is that they are exceptionally old.

Probably one of the awe inspiring sights one can have is your first glimpse or the Pyramids at Giza, Cairo Egypt. The last remaining seven wonders of the world The Great Pyramid or Khufu's pyramid which towers nearly 40 stories high is at the site.

My next trip will be to Tenerife, as we're terribly tired of the gray skies over London this fall. So we're off to 'The Island of Eternal Spring'.
