This year, intrepid travelers are finding new, and newly cool old, destinations to jet off to. Luxury travel mag Concierge.com share's their Top 10 list - The 2008 It List.
Ranging from distinctly off-beat to old standby, their list is:
- Mozambique, Africa
- St. Lucia
- Montenegro
- Ecuador
- Sicily
- San Diego
- Hainan island, China
- Oman
- Puerto Escondido and the Oaxacan Coast
- Paris
Personally, I'm loving the idea of Sicily (Italian food!...), Montenegro, and Oaxaca. Not so sure about Mozambique though, I'm pretty sure it's a rip-off in the making. The country does have some things going for it, "1,500 miles of gorgeous Indian Ocean coastline and archipelagos that
make for superb diving and luscious beaches; Maputo, a vibrant and safe
capital with an exciting Afro jazz scene and a nightlife renaissance;
and national parks that are slowly restoring the wildlife."
Where would you go in 2008, share your own Top 10 list below.
