So you have planned a trip to Southampton, Long Island, New York this summer—great! While you are in the “Hamptons” take time to spend a day at the #1 beach of 2010, Coopers Beach. It is a clean, family beach and has many beachfront accommodations including beachfront self catering motels, suites and several bed and breakfast guest houses.
Coopers Beach is known for the soft white sand and the extensive shoreline that attracts not only sun bathers but fishermen, athletes and sports enthusiasts alike. You will find concession stands, chair rentals, umbrellas and fresh-water showers. Life guards are on duty from Memorial Day until Labor Day for you safety.
During the summer months the Southampton Cultural Center presents free concerts at the beach. An arts organization brings Broadway-type shows to the stage there as does the Peconic Youth Orchestra throughout the year.
Parking permits are required at the beach.
With all that happens at Coopers Beach it would be a day full of fun for the entire family to enjoy.
