Stop "them" from breaking the Internet

Today is not about travel here at eyeflare.com, but about the fact that U.S. Congress may soon end up breaking the Internet. If you care about an open, free, and rough-around-the-edges Internet which helps dissidents, free speech, education, and LOL cats alike, then sign the petition.

These two acts, the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) and Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) give private companies wide-ranging powers to shut down websites at will. Powers more often used by repressive regimes to stamp down on civil dissent, such as in Syria or China.

If not, we're likely to feel more like we live behind the Great Firewall of China than we do today's Internet.

Now go over to Stop American Censhorship and sign your name.

Thank you.
