Exploring Magaluf by night and day

Magaluf Beach

Magaluf is one of the most popular coastal resorts on the island of Mallorca. Part of the beautiful Balearic Islands, Mallorca is located in the Mediterranean off the coast of Spain. Magaluf is in southwestern Mallorca, near the island's capital of Palma de Mallorca. A sparkling vacation spot, Magaluf offers wonderful activities and entertainment for all ages and interests, both in the sun and at night.

Magaluf has three gorgeous, white sand beaches: Magaluf Beach, Mallorca Beach and Palma Nova Beach. All are well-kept and lined with hotels, bars, and shops. Magaluf Beach is probably more frequented by young party lovers, while Palma Nova is more popular for families. With sunny, dry weather year round, you can never go wrong flopping down on the beach and baking in the sunshine. If you get too hot, cool off with a dip in the gentle blue waters of the Mediterranean. Swimmers can challenge themselves by paddling to the Isla de sa Porrassa, or Black Lizard Island, about 400 meters from the shore in the center of Magaluf Bay.

You'll have plenty of other outdoor activities to choose from, including wind surfng, jet skiing, scuba diving, go-kart racing, golf, and horseback riding. If you're traveling with kids, they'll love the water rides at the Western Water Parks, plus the dolphin and sea lion shows at Marine Land. There are also the amazing upside-down House of Katmandu, covered wagon trips, and glass-bottom boats and submarine rides! You certainly won't run out of fun daytime activities.

However, Magaluf is perhaps most famous for its nightlife. Just head to the Punta Ballena Strip and you can step into one dizzying, unique and legendary club after another. You’ll find Mallorca’s biggest nightclub, BCM, on the Avenida S'Olivera. With renowned DJs, hoards of brazenly uninhibited revelers, and unbelievable themed events like foam and popcorn parties, you might have trouble remembering the festivities when you wake up... the next afternoon!

If you were hoping for a more family-oriented evening, don’t despair. There are plenty of kid-friendly bars and restaurants in Magaluf. Children and adults alike will be amazed by the Pirates Adventure, a dinner show of thrilling acrobatics and dance featuring, you guessed it, pirates! Sam’s Bar has a bouncy castle for the little ones, and gigantic Benny Hill’s Bar is full of fun children’s activities and games. At Popeye’s Bar, kids can enjoy Playstation with dinner. There are quieter and mellower places that welcome families too, like Willie’s Bar, The Pink Panther, and Central Park.

Don’t miss out on the gorgeous Mallorcan countryside outside Magaluf. You can take an old wooden train from nearby Palma to the quaint town of Soller and enjoy breathtaking views on the trip through the mountains. You can also taste wines at the Bodegas Ca’ n Vidalet, see the ancient Caves of l'Alzinaret, or visit the Roman ruins at Alcudia Town—there are endless possibilities!

Rest assured, Magaluf holidays truly offer something for everyone. Whether you want fun in the sun, enjoyable family activities, parties like you never knew existed, or a combination of all three, you can find it in Magaluf!
