Coronado Beach near San Diego

Coronado Beach in San Diego, California, is a popular beach. The name generally refers to Coronado Central Beach, though Glorietta Bay Beach and Silver Strand State Beach are also located near Coronado. The Central Beach is great for families and groups, with several activities available. If you are going to the beach, you can park on Ocean Boulevard, which runs along the beach. There are showers and restrooms at the beach as well.

The beach is a great spot to go to swim or to lie on the sand and soak in some sun. There are life guards on duty at the beach, so swimmers of all skill levels can venture in to the water with peace of mind. For those looking for other activities, the beach includes places to fish, and tidepools. The north end of the beach also includes a dog run, as well as fire rings. And with the ocean on one end and the Boulevard, hotel del Coronado, and several mansions on the other, it is a very beautiful place to spend a day.
