Koreatown, New York City

While there is so much to do in New York City it's hard hit most great spots in just one trip, a visit to Koreatown is definitely worth your while. Known as K-town to New York natives, this Manhattan neighborhood is full of unique shops and great Asian restaurants. There are also many salons there, which means you can take advantage of things like Asian hair straightening techniques if you're interested.

One of the best restaurants that Koreatown has to offer is Sam Won Gak, which offer both traditional Korean dishes and Asian fusion food. The barbecue restaurant, Mapo BBQ, is also quite popular. If you're more interested in shopping, be sure to check out Koreatown Galleria, a shopping center which contains both popular retailers as well as stores more unique to Koreatown. There is much to see and do in Koreatown, and it's definitely worth a visit if you have the time.
